Overview

This course aims to train candidates in recognising and planning a rescue in a confined space in the event of an emergency. Candidates will understand what Hazards are associated with a Confined Space Rescue, and the correct procedures to be followed. This course will give you the knowledge and understanding where you are competent to participate as a member of a Confined Space Rescue Team and to participate in Confined Space Rescue activities to a high level. This course consists of both theory and practical assessments.

Objectives

At the end of the training program candidates will be able to:

  • Execute rescue plan
  • Operate rescue Equipment
  • Use breathing apparatus
  • Follow confined rescue steps

Target Audience

This training program prepares all personnel who are required to be in attendance or work in a confined space operation in the event of an emergency. Candidates should hold a valid Confined space entry certificate prior to attending this course.

Certification

On completion of this course successful candidates will receive an IADC Certificate on Confined Space Rescue.

Revalidation

There is no revalidation period for this type of training, however refresher training is recommended for every 2 years.
