Overview

This course is designed to equip delegates with knowledge to conduct gas testing within a confined space and gives awareness of associated confined space hazards. Delegates will also learn about relevant legislative requirements, gas measuring, monitoring equipment and documenting gas test results. This course will give you the knowledge and understanding on how to recognise hazards related to confined Space operations and allow delegates to practice the required procedures to a competent level. This course consists of both theory and practical assessments.

Objectives

At the end of this training program, delegates will be able to:

  • Understand hazardous gases and their characteristics.
  • Correctly complete a Gas Test Certificate.
  • Execute gas testing procedures.
  • Inspect and operate Gas Detection Equipment

Target Audience

This training program is designed for all personnel who are required to carry out the role of an authorized gas tester and for those who are in-charge of performing a test for oxygen, flammable and toxic gases and includes working in a confined space.

Certification

On completion of this course successful candidates will receive an IADC Certificate on Authorized Gas Tester

Revalidation

There is no revalidation period for this type of training, however, refresher training is recommended every 2 years.
