Overview

This training program explains the hazards of working in a confined space and to assist employers in establishing and maintaining an effective confined space program. Candidates will be made aware of the relevant regulations, basic procedures on how to test gas and oxygen levels that are suitable for entrance into a confined space and what measures to take in the event of an emergency. The course is both theoretical and practical on which delegates will be required to show their level of knowledge and understanding gained from the training as they will be assessed base on the result.

Objectives:

At the end of the training candidates will be able to:

  • Recognize, evaluate, and control confined space hazards.
  • Save lives and protect employees from job-related injuries
    and illnesses.
  • Promote safe and effective work practices.
  • Comply with company procedures and practices.

Target Audience

This training program aimed to all personnel whom in the course of their normal duties will be expected to enter a confined space and as part of the minimum training requirement.

Certification

On completion of this course successful candidates will receive an IADC Certificate on Confined Space Entry.

Revalidation

There is no revalidation period for this type of training, however refresher training is recommended every 3 years.
